This morning we started our tour right off of Sooke with L-Pod heading West. Seals at Secretary Island and a large adult Bald eagle.
Yesterday we had a great tour that took us to our regular Gray Whale. Today we had Resident Orcas and the Gray. Nice calm seas and toms of wildlife to see.
Our tours today took us East for 2 Breaching Humpbacks. What a sight as the young whale would throw his entire body out of the water. Race Rocks still has 5 Elephant Seals, and 100+ Sea Lions n the rocks.
Yesterday we had 2 fantastic tours. We started out the morning with the Super Pod of Orcas out East. Our afternoon tour took us to a 5 mile line of Orcas that were actively hunting. Race Rocks still with hundreds of Sea Lions and 5 Elephant Seals.
Yesterday we had a small group of local Resident Orcas out East moving slowly North. Our 2nd tour we had a our regular Gray Whale and reports of Transient Orcas off of Race Rocks.
We started off our tour with a pair of LARGE Humpbacks off of Sooke. What a sight to see
two of them heading East. Less than a mile away as we were with the Humpbacks, all our
Resident Killer Whales were off of Race Rocks. We had the Super Pod right off of Sooke
early this morning! They were in 2 large groups resting and heading east as well.
It was a terrific day today!
Sorry abut the delay in the report. Yesterday we did have 2 great trips that took us to our Resident Orcas out East. The morning we did have the Super Pod (90 Orcas) as well as the afternoon, but the afternoon they were aiming for Sooke. Race rocks has doubled in the amount of Sea Lions and also 4 Large Elephant Seals.
this morning we took out a bird watching group out West. Lots of offshore Pelagic Birds were seen as well as over 20 Humpback Whales. Our 2nd tour started right off of Sooke with a large Humpback then off to our Resident Orcas. We did stop at Race Rocks for all the Sea Lions and 3 Elephant Seals.
WOW, we had the “Super-Pod” of Killer Whales off of Sooke today! Thats 90 Soutehrn Resident Orcas moving East. Also lots of Sea Lions at Race rocks.
today our guests were treated to L-Pod out East. Everyone had a terrific time with our Southern Resident Killer Whales as they were in close formation, they even swam near the boat. Tomorrow is another fantastic day for weather and we do have availability on our 3pm tour
